Eaton joins CharIN to help drive standards for EV charging February 24, 2023 – The Charging Interface Initiative (CharIN)—a global industry association driving standards for electric vehicle (EV) charging—recently welcomed Eaton as a Core member. “At Eaton, we believe global technology standards are a critical catalyst for accelerating the adoption of safe, low-carbon electric transportation,” said Joseph Cappeta, EV charging infrastructure integration leader. “We look forward to contributing our intelligent power management expertise to multiple focus groups as a Core member of CharIN.” Core members, explains CharIN, “are particularly closely involved in global activities relating to the combined charging system (CCS), and have a particular set of rights and duties within the association’s framework”. Eaton provides a portfolio of EV charging infrastructure solutions and services that enable “scalable and flexible energy systems optimizing sustainability, resilience and cost-effectiveness in existing and new installations”.
