Birmingham-based Intercity, which operates services such as cloud computing, security and hosting, has bought out Northampton telecommunications business Chandler Communications in an undisclosed deal. The acquisition follows a period of organic growth for Intercity in its communications, cloud and security and managed services divisions. Chandler Communications was established in 1986 by husband and wife team Perry and Jo Chandler and now has more than 350 customers across the UK. The firm will rebrand as Chandler Communications part of Intercity with staff continuing to work from its Northampton office. Want more business news straight to your inbox? Mr and Mrs Perry will stay with the business to ensure a smooth transition before stepping down completely.
