Author 13 November 2019 One of our oldest portfolio companies has been sold: Cavendish Kinetics was a spinout from the physics department at Cambridge University and early investors included founder members of Cambridge Capital Group. Qorvo® (Nasdaq:QRVO), a leading provider of innovative RF solutions that connect the world, today announced that it has acquired Cavendish Kinetics, Inc., the world’s leading provider of high-performance RF MEMS technology for antenna tuning applications. The Cavendish Kinetics (CK) team will continue to advance RF MEMS technology for applications across Qorvo’s product lines and transition the technology into high-volume manufacturing for mobile devices and other markets. Two other trade sales and a secondary sale as part of a large VC investment into another portfolio company has made 2019 a good year for our members following a standout 2016, which also saw four exits.
