He continues to act as Taxpayers’ Representative Judge at the Tax and Fees Court of São Paulo (TIT/SP) and as Tax Law professor at the postgraduate program of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). He is also a member of the research group “Tributação e Novas Tecnologias” (Taxation and New Technologies) of the Professional Master’s Degree of FGV and the technical editorial board of Revista de Direito Tributário Contemporâneo – RDTC (Journal of Contemporary Tax Law), published by Revista dos Tribunais / Thomson Reuters. Salvador is a highly qualified tax attorney. Besides being a professor, he holds an LL.M. and a PhD in Tax Law from the USP (University of São Paulo) and is the author of several articles and publications on tax matters. His professional experience is focused on complex cases involving consultancy and administrative litigation in direct and indirect taxes at the federal, state and municipal levels, as well as consulting matters before the Tax Authorities, offsetting, auditing and credit review of non-cumulative taxes. Among his recently published articles are “Serviço de streaming e sua identificação como serviço de comunicação” (Streaming and its identification as a communication service), “A imunidade dos fonogramas e videofonogramas e sua aplicação no serviço de streaming” (The immunity of phonograms and videophonograms and their application in the streaming service) and the co-authorship of the book “Tributação da nuvem” (Cloud Taxation). GNVZ’s partner and colleague at FGV teacher cadre, Carlos Eduardo Navarro, comments: “Besides being a great friend, Salvador is one of the professors I most admire at FGV, a true technical reference. Having him as member of our firm is the certainty that our clients will be even better served”. For Salvador, “We are great friends and I have always admired GVNZ’s legal reasoning and technical quality. Joining the firm is a great opportunity to work with professionals I admire, besides being people with values in which I believe, in a light work environment and at the same time dealing with great cases and clients”. “Salvador’s entry mainly strengthens the tax litigation area. He is an admirable professional. I’m convinced that his vast academic expertise and experience as a CARF counsel in recent years, in addition to his wisdom, will add a lot to our clients and team. A perfect match with the values and pillars that guide our firm. It is a great honor to have him by our side” adds Tatiana Villani, founder and managing partner of the firm. This is the 3rd expansion of GVNZ since its foundation 2 years ago. The 1st occurred in early 2020, with the entry of Carlos Eduardo Navarro, and the second in early 2021, with the launching of the labor practice and the entry of Marcel Zangiácomo and Priscila Helena Viola Zangiácomo.
