Canton Hermidas, today announced its new, seed technology venture fund, Silicon Bazar. The focus of Silicon Bazar will be on seed and early Series A internet startups from within MENA and Iran. The focus of Silicon Bazar will be on seed and early Series A internet startups from MENA and Iran. Silicon Bazar has already invested in three startups and aims to expand its portfolio of companies to 12 within the first year of trading. Silicon Bazar will invest between $10,000 and $50,000 in approximately 12 early-stage startups and will maintain significant capital reserves for firm’s follow-on funding. Silicon Bazar will focus on disruptive technologies with significant scope for scaling and will provide funding and advisory at seed and growth stages. Investors in Silicon Bazar include multiple family offices from within Middle East, all of which are existing LPs in Canton Hermidas.
