Tarrytown, NY (PRWEB)January 07, 2014 RestorixHealth, a leader in developing and managing comprehensive wound care centers, has finalized a merger agreement with Candescent Healing. The combined companies, operating under the RestorixHealth name, will create one of the largest networks of wound care service providers in the country. Chronic wounds are a significant health problem affecting millions of people. That number is growing rapidly due in part to an aging population and a sharp rise in the incidence of diabetes and obesity. Caring for chronic wounds requires specialized care and advanced training, and as chronic wounds become more prevalent, the demand for specialized wound care centers also increases. Under the terms of the agreement, the merged companies will maintain RestorixHealth’s current senior level management team of Steve McLaughlin, Chief Executive Officer; Dave Walz, President and Chief Operating Officer; Patrick Seiler, Chief Financial Officer; Bob Bartlett, MD, Chief Medical Officer. “We expect our customers and patients, both current and new, to continue receiving the same high quality wound care services they have come to expect from both companies.” states Steve McLaughlin, CEO. The integration of the two companies was finalized on December 31st.
