En el marco del Insurtech Latam Forum, TyN Magazine entrevistó a Hilario Itriago CEO & Co – Founder de Bullfrog Ventures. TyN – ¿Cómo ves el desarrollo del Mercado Insuretech en Latinoamérica en comparación con el de Estados Unidos? HI – Desde el punto de vista de disponibilidad y acceso a las tecnologías, está en igualdad de condiciones. Una de las ventajas es el menor costo de las tecnologías y soluciones ya que todo está universalizado. Donde sí estamos más atrasados es en el ánimo de las compañías a probar las nuevas soluciones, todavía hay cierta reticencia.Es necesario atreverse a probar soluciones de baja escala pero de alto impacto para que eventualmente se decida cuál es el camino a seguir. TyN – ¿Cuáles son las expectativas de Bullfrog para Latinoamérica? HI – Una de las grandezas que tiene Latinoamérica es que es un mercado emergente y si algo hemos probado los mercados emergentes es que somos capaces de actualizar tecnologías inclusive saltándonos versiones anteriores de las mismas. Algo que está sucediendo en Latinoamérica, que es una ventaja que se tiene que aprovechar, es que nosotros saltamos directamente al teléfono inteligente y hoy en día en esa plataforma tenemos todo lo mismo que los países más desarrollados o economías más desarrolladas. La diferencia es que tenemos que tener toda esa disponibilidad en esa plataforma inteligente, y lo que hace que si estábamos atrasados en uno o dos años hoy podamos ponernos al día en unos diez meses. TyN – ¿Cómo ves el nivel de aceptación de este cambio tecnológico, desde el punto de vista de los usuarios? HI – Una de las cosas que estamos viendo es que las organizaciones que se toman en serio el tema cliente, relativo al producto tradicional, son las que realmente generan una disrupción. Si tomas el caso en Argentina de Iunigo, es una compañía nueva,  lo invento todo desde cero, lo imaginó como un sistema móvil. Todo el ecosistema y productos de Iunigo operan dentro del ecosistema móvil y esa es la propuesta de valor que el cliente está más dispuesto a aceptar. Los que quieran competir con Iunigo deberán volcarse dentro de un modelo de experiencia de cliente que no es el modelo tradicional o típico, pero ya en la medida en que uno lo hace, lo demás se acelera y todo empieza a correr más rápido. TyN – La semana pasada en conversación con Fernando López (General Manager de Westcon), nos decía que ellos esperaban un crecimiento estable y prolongado de dos dígitos. ¿Crees que las Insuretech se encuentran en la misma situación? HI – Yo creo que se va a genera un impacto de tal magnitud en los próximos tres años que ese crecimiento va a ser posible, porqué lo que va producir ese crecimiento no es el negocio de seguros que hoy se comercializa, es el nuevo negocio de seguros que va a comenzar a comercializarse con las plataformas que las Insuretech están desarrollando. El mercado del seguro se va a transformar, el modelo estático de una póliza de seguro que espera un siniestro para entonces dar un servicio se va a transformar completamente y va a tener un modelo más de suscripción con coberturas que pueden activarse o desactivarse y eso va a permitir que el cliente pueda consumir más.
