How Bringg Solves The Last Mile In Supply Chain Delivery

Apr 29, 2022

I cover major developments in the retail industry. Apr 29, 2022, ASSOCIATED PRESS Our recent discussion of the delay in major retailers’ supply chain was underscored when I discussed the last mile of delivery with Daniela Perlmutter of Bringg, the senior vice president of marketing for the company. Now, Bringg addresses the last mile of delivery, which often costs 41% of the total delivery. Bringg helps enterprises scale up and optimize their logistics operations with their unified delivery and fulfillment cloud platform. Using Bringg, retailers and logistics providers can rapidly enable innovative delivery and fulfillment models. Of course, speed matters. Bringg platforms help retailers deliver the goods as quickly as possible to the customer. Using a multitude of delivery vehicles, the company saves participating retailers 20 to 25% of the delivery cost. The platform that has been installed at clients (see below) allows communication between company’s delivery manager with the drivers, drivers with the customer and customer with delivery. Everything is geared to add speed, which allows for better routing of deliveries. As a result, more merchandise can be delivered to customers in less time. Walmart was one of the first customers of Bringg in the U.S. It added speed to servicing its customers and, ultimately, Walmart developed its own platform and they are now doing last mile delivery themselves. It reminds me of my buying a toaster from Best Buy and receiving it in three hours later on a Sunday afternoon. Daniela asked me where I would buy my next appliance, and I assured her I would again shop Best Buy. Today, Bringg has a long list of clients in the U.S and Canada (50% of their business), Europe (25%), and Latin America (25%). Among the retailers that were mentioned are Auto Zone (US), KFC (U.S), COOP (U.K), Party City (U.S), LeRoy Merlin (France), SEKO (U.S), Day Roast (U.S.), Ames Dorados (Latin America), Coca Cola (U.S), Raymour & Flanigan (U.S.) and many more. MORE FOR YOU The acceptance of on-line grocery services by millions of stay-at-home consumers during the Covid-19 pandemic has been a strong driver for newer, faster grocery delivery. Steadily, the trend towards high-speed delivery is invading a wider range of categories such as pharmacy, construction materials and consumer electronics. Bringg’s technology platform, M-Tools, is used by startup corporations all over the world to effectively dispatch-delivery. Bringg was founded in 2011 in Tel Aviv, Israel by Lior Sion and Raanan Cohen. Bringg’s mission is to be the connector between the retailer, the supply chain, and its customers. With the innovative-fulfillment and delivery platform, based on machine learning, industry best practices and corporate goals, Bringg helps businesses scale up and optimize their customers experiences. One example of how a customer turned to bring for an alternative delivery fleet based on its needs is COOP: they used robots. The British company needed a different delivery model which Bringg delivered. Daniela added “In this world of unpredictability, retailers cannot go with a single provider, a single delivery model, or a single point solution. They need a platform and a network of delivery providers that can enable them to grow as they grow, with alternative models, scale and open to connect the ecosystem.” Postscript: Whether it is pizza delivery in Manhattan or electronics delivery in Chicago, the technology by Bringg enables companies to expedite merchandise on “the last mile” to the customer’s door. The company is gaining a broad customer base through tailoring the delivery service to specific clients. It is saving money and time.
