The Hamilton woman threatened with a lawsuit last week by a Robbinsville dental practice after posting a critical review on Yelp.com received a second letter from the dentist's lawyer Monday. It withdrew the legal action. Christina Lipsky said the letter arrived via email a few minutes after she spoke with the dentist at Brighter Dental Care in Robbinsville. Lipsky said the dentist was upset about the media attention the practice received. "The dentist who performed my evaluation at Brighter Dental reached out to me to try to resolve the issue with my diagnosis in a kind and professional manner," Lipsky said. About 10 minutes later, Lipsky received an updated letter from lawyer Scott J. Singer, of Montgomery. It said: "It is my understanding that the matter has been resolved directly with Brighter Dental and therefore there will be no further legal action. " Lipsky said she wished the entire matter was handled in a different way. "I stand by what I wrote , but if this conversation had taken place before their lawyers threatened me with legal action, I would have been happy to add an update to my Yelp review," Lipsky said. "This could have been a very positive experience for everyone, instead of what it became," she said. The issue concerned jaw pain Lipsky was suffering due to clenching her teeth. She was hoping for a mouthpiece, but Brighter Dental Care recommended $5,700 worth of dental work, including root canal procedures. Lipsky said insurance would only cover about $2,400, leaving about $3,300 as an out-of-pocket expense. Suspicious, Lipsky sought a second opinion from a root canal specialist in West Windsor, who performed tests on her teeth and found no issues requiring root canal work. Lipsky then posted a review June 9 on Yelp, saying she could not recommend Brighter Dental in Robbinsville and did not trust their advice. On Friday, she received a letter stating the practice was pursuing legal action against her, "as a result of false statements published by you on the Internet concerning Brighter Dental. " Yesterday, Lipsky said, "If they didn't want anyone to see my review, they went about it the wrong way. "
