JD Sports and Matillion have made senior appointments alongside the likes of Preston North End and Morecambe Football Club. Law firms, marketing agencies and a financial services giant have also made this week's list. Below, BusinessLive rounds up the 35 latest new hires and promotions from across the North West we feel you should not miss. JD Sports JD Sports is headquartered in Greater Manchester (Image: Nick Ansell/PA Wire) JD Sports has appointed an interim chair and interim CEO after Peter Cowgill stepped down with immediate effect. Non-executive director Helen Ashton, who currently chairs the audit and risk committee, will become interim non-executive chair. She is a former chief financial officer at ASOS and has also held executive level roles in Asda, Barclays and Lloyds Banking Group and CEO positions in high growth private equity backed businesses. She first joined the group in November 2021. JD Sports also confirmed that non-executive director Kath Smith will become interim CEO. She has previously been managing director of both Adidas and Reebok and was also general manager and vice president of The North Face EMEA. Matillion's office in Altrincham Greater Manchester-headquartered cloud data company Matillion has announced the appointment of its general counsel and chief legal officer. Mr Bauman has years of experience in both the US and Europe working at international law firms and investment banks, including Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. He was most recently Partner and Head of European Strategic Relations at Goodwin, a global law firm serving the technology-driven economy, of which Matillion is a client. Morecambe Football Club Morecambe Football Club have promoted Ben Sadler to chief executive, effective Wednesday, June 1. Mr Sadler joined the club as general manager a year ago, following four years at Harrogate Town AFC. He said: "It is an honour to join the board of directors as CEO, here at Morecambe Football Club, at such an exciting and important time. "This new role will allow me to work closely with, and support, all departments across the club, to ensure we have a joined-up, and increasingly effective, approach to achieving our strategic goals." McAlister Family Law Frances Bentley, Amanda McAlister and Jemma Wentworth of Beyond Law Group’s specialist family practice, McAlister Family Law Beyond Law Group’s specialist family practice, McAlister Family Law, has appointed Jemma Wentworth and Frances Bentley to its specialist divorce and finance team in Manchester. Jemma Wentworth joins from Nicholson Jones Sutton Solicitors in Macclesfield, where she worked as a family law specialist. Frances Bentley joins from Maguire Family Law. Amanda McAlister, managing partner of McAlister Family Law, said: "Frances and Jemma are welcome additions to the McAlister Family Law team. Preston North End A general view of Deepdale Preston North End Football Club have appointed Zoe Hall to their board of directors with immediate effect. She has been with the club for over 16 years and currently has responsibility for human resources, safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), health and safety and facilities management. Peter Ridsdale said: "In these fast moving times it is right and proper that all football clubs continually review their organisation structure and senior management to ensure that they reflect the society in which they are operating. "This appointment reflects both the identified challenges for the club as we move forward and Zoe’s contribution to date in addressing these challenges." Integritas Property Group Adam Ross, Integritas Property Group Liverpool-based property developer Integritas Property Group (IPG) has appointed Adam Ross as its new sales director. He joins from McCrory Holdings, where he worked as head of sales. Mr Ross said: "I’m delighted to be joining the team at IPG; our values and ambitions are a good match. I’m looking forward to working on the exciting schemes currently in the pipeline. "My vision as sales director will be to strengthen the high performing sales culture currently in place. My knowledge of global property markets will enable us to develop key relationships with clients across each of our project sites." First Internet Danielle Jameson and Olivia Goodwin of First Internet Altrincham-based digital marketing agency First Internet has added to its social media team with two new appointments. Danielle Jameson has been appointed as a social media executive, having managed social media campaigns in the entertainment and hospitality industries. Olivia Goodwin joins the business on an apprenticeship through the Juice Academy as a junior content producer. Director Julaine Speight said: "Recruitment is very competitive at the moment, the best candidates are getting snapped up very quickly. CDX Security Warrington-based security firm CDX Security has announced the appointment of a new group sales manager. John Welch joins the team to expand the firm’s service offering within the construction and housing sectors. Relative Insight Richard Thornton and Kristin Luck of Relative Insight Relative Insight, a comparative text analytics software company with an office in Lancaster, has added two new board members following a £5m investment backed by private equity firm YFM Equity Partners (YFM) in March 2022. Kristin Luck has joined the advisory board and Richard Thornton has joined the company’s board of directors. Both will focus on growth and help to scale the business for continued international expansion. Liberty Group Dave Moore has been appointed as ICT director at Knowsley-headquartered property services business Liberty Group. He has 20 years’ experience in business change and transformation in a range of industries including property, construction, financial services and healthcare. "I was particularly drawn to Liberty’s straightforward ethos and its commitments to innovation and putting customers at the heart of decisions." She was previously a senior telephony sales relationship manager at the lender. "It has always been an ambition of mine to be out in the field, and I’m really looking forward to meeting our broker partners face-to-face and building up a really strong rapport with them."
