5-day change Today at 02:56 am Share (Alliance News) - Somec Spa announced Monday that its subsidiary Bluesteel Srl has won a new order worth GBP10.5 million, over EUR12 million at current exchange rates, for a prestigious architectural project in central London. Bluesteel, a European player in the fabrication and installation of curtain walls and window frames, will be engaged in the construction of a 13-story building inserted within a large residential complex on the Thames, located directly opposite Big Ben and the British Parliament. The new construction will house both residential spaces, with more than 100 homes spread over about 16,000 square meters, as well as stores and commercial activities. Construction will start in December 2023 and be completed in January 2025, and Bluesteel will be responsible for the design, manufacture, and installation of a bespoke cellular façade system for the building, as well as other components such as glazed balustrades, cladding, sliding systems, and fixed glazed parts.
