This annual list ranks the 500 fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, fintech and energy tech companies in the U.S, in both the public and private sectors. Honorees are selected based on their percentage of fiscal year revenue growth from 2016 to 2019. More than 35 states and provinces across North America are represented, with 20% of the companies located in Silicon Valley. The DMV region overall accounted for 6% of the winners on the list, with 72% of those companies working in the software tech sector.
