Beyond Honeycomb’s AI-Driven Robot can reproduce world-class chef meals for everyone

Feb 15, 2022

The advantages of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are now utilized in the food industry worldwide through employing robotic support for various tasks. To help commercial kitchens ease problems of labor shortage, limitation of expert chefs and other human-related risks, Beyond Honeycomb, a Korean food-tech startup, has been developing an AI-driven kitchen robot solution. Beyond Honeycomb’s AI-driven kitchen robot can reproduce world-class chef dishes. With its food sensors, the robot digitizes the texture and taste of the original dish and replicates it at the molecular level. “Everyone deserves to experience good food anywhere, anytime at a low price. Technology makes it happen,” states Beyond Honeycomb, “We are reshaping commercial kitchens to create a digital platform with a digitized set of chef skills and taste data. The platform serves casual but chef-quality daily meals like sandwiches, burgers, BBQ Grill, and salads, at a low price.” AI-Robot can learn to make gourmet dishes within 48 hours The process to reproduce chef’s meals through the AI-Robot is quite simple. The original chef has to demonstrate the cooking in the kitchen only once, and it is scanned using a molecular sensor. The AI-Chef will learn to reproduce the original chef’s dish on itself within 48 hours. Beyond Honeycomb’s robots are compatible with commercial kitchen appliances like broiler, oven, griddle, etc. Beyond Honeycomb’s AI Chef enables greater kitchen productivity and menu options while minimizing labor cost and human-caused error. The original recipe creators or chefs can serve their masterpieces to bigger groups of eaters on the platform, and everyone can enjoy gourmet food easily. The chefs can earn profits by registering their recipes on the platform when the subscribing commercial kitchens serve their meals. Beyond Honeycomb plans to target various commercial kitchens for the service like restaurants, cloud kitchens, cafeterias, steak houses, etc. The food-tech startup had presented its AI-Chef at the CES 2022 in Las Vegas, where the robot had reproduced 3 Korean Master Chef dishes and served over 1000 dishes in only four hours. The company is now looking forward to opening its flagship dining platform in Seoul and expanding to the US by the end of 2022. Also Read,
