Flywheel Stadium Cycling, BibimBar, Coast Poke, Batter Bakery and Pressed Juicery have all executed leases in the 42,000-square-foot landmark building that connects One Market Plaza's two office towers, which together house 1.6 million square feet of office space. Batter Bakery opened shop in May while the remaining new tenants will open in the coming months. Flywheel Stadium Cycling, a fitness center with several Bay Area locations, will be the largest new tenant of the bunch with a 4,742-square-foot space. BibimBar and Coast Poke's One Market Plaza locations will be both eateries' first in the Bay Area. The atrium and lobby renovation, which was completed earlier this year, created more space for retail as well as updated the decor, making it warmer, more walkable and less "airport-like," Morgan Cushman & Wakefield's Kazuko Morgan said. The retail component consists of specialty shops, services and the dining atrium, which will have an array of fast casual and full-service dining options. The renovation coincided with a repositioning of the retail space, which is now more focused on gourmet offerings. With a prized location at 1 Market St. directly above the Embarcadero BART station, the site is valued at $1.2 billion. Last year, New York-based investment firm Blackstone bought a 49 percent stake in the building for $600 million, or $750 per square foot.
