Ball State names Entrepreneurship Center director

May 9, 2023

Kimberly Howe Ferguson (photo provided) Ball State University on Tuesday announced the appointment of Kimberly Howe Ferguson as director of the Entrepreneurship Center on the Muncie campus. Ferguson, who is the owner of Patterson Block Muncie, will also serve as an assistant lecturer of management in the Miller College of Business. Patterson Block Muncie is a historic building in the city’s downtown, built in 1876, that houses Ferguson’s business, Pink Leaf: A Learning Company, as well as several other women-owned businesses. Ball State said Ferguson has more than 11 years of entrepreneurship experience in real estate, education and government contracting. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ball State and her MBA in international business from Indiana Wesleyan University. “As a female entrepreneur and a Hoosier, I am passionate about everyone—particularly women—investing in small businesses, in themselves, and in their futures,” Ferguson said in a news release. “I look forward to using this position to encourage and shape the next generation of entrepreneurs.” The Ball State Entrepreneurship Center is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2023.
