He has served on the boards of 40 software and information businesses in the last 22 years, including seven public companies, as well as many nonprofit organizations. Mr. Gruner previously advised software companies in the technology investment banking group at Alex. Brown & Sons. He also worked in marketing at computer-aided-design software developer Sigma Design. Mr. Gruner received his BA from Yale University and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
