The California- headquartered e-hailing company announced the collaboration yesterday, saying the aim of this partnership is to tackle safety issues and decrease the number of road accidents on South African roads. It said the partnership with Arrive Alive will leverage the e-hailing platform's extensive reach, as the mobility app globally has over 150 million downloads. “Through this partnership, inDrive and Arrive Alive will launch a road safety campaign that targets young drivers and passengers, who are among the most vulnerable groups on South African roads. Johan Jonk, manager, Arrive Alive Online Initiative, added: "By leveraging the power of technology, we believe we can create a safer road culture in our country." The inDrive and Arrive Alive partnership comes a few days after the e-hailing platform launched its InCode 2023 hackathon, with €16,000 prize fund, to boost safety.
