PE-backed ClearCourse acquires software firm Clear is used by charities including Oxfam, NSPCC and Cancer Research UK and the detail is the first under new CEO Christina Hamilton Share: ClearCourse, a leading group of innovative technology brands providing integrated software and payments solutions, has acquired legacy management software provider Clear. Details of the deal have not been disclosed but it’s the first of the year for ClearCourse and follows the recent announcement of new CEO Christina Hamilton. Chorley-based Clear provides innovative software solutions across a range of areas, including non-profit and transport sectors. Their flagship product, FirstClass, is the UK’s leading system to help leading charities such as Oxfam, the NSPCC and Cancer Research UK manage legacy donations. Clear’s acquisition represents a further expansion of ClearCourse’s presence in the region following the opening of its Northern Tech Hub in Preston. John Antunes, managing director of ClearCourse Software and Services division, said: “This acquisition is undoubtedly an excellent addition to ClearCourse’s software solutions for the not-for-profit sector. “We’re very excited by the integration and growth potential inherent in the deal, which brings new opportunities for us to work better together across the group. “For example, Clear’s customers can access our market-leading CRM platforms and address validation services.
