Soleo Communications Inc. has completed its acquisition of the assets of California-based Apptera Inc. The Perinton custom and cloud-based communications firm expects to introduce new service offerings, including broader cloud-based products and expansion into the mobile advertising space, with the deal’s close. Soleo will begin a new phase with the finalization of the acquisition. "Apptera has been a fixture in call-based advertising for over 10 years," said Daniel Gallagher, founder and CEO of Soleo. "By adding this new technology to our Call Generation Platform, we will be able to improve service to callers, increase our call inventory and offer more options and support for our advertising partners. " Soleo employs 65 people in its two branches in Rochester and Fort Lauderdale. The company has 46 employees here. Apptera’s portfolio of real-time call handling products will help Soleo gain access to patented technologies that improve the company’s position as a provider of call inventory in the mobile advertising industry, the company said. Soleo plans to rebrand all of the assets under Soleo. Apptera’s mobile application development efforts will be renamed Raved. "Today's announcement represents Apptera's next chapter with Soleo," said Henry Vogel, CEO of Apptera. "It also marks an exciting opportunity for the Raved team to exclusively focus on developing our pioneering social recommendation mobile applications to help consumers discover and share great places with trusted friends and influencers.
