Chris joined Pritzker Group Venture Capital in 1996 and has served as its Managing Partner since 1998. During this time, he has led the organization and capital formation for four technology venture funds and has led or overseen investments in more than 100 companies. For more than17 years, Chris has assisted management teams in building businesses, including helping guide strategy, execution and overall value creation, and optimizing liquidity events. As an active investor and board member, Chris works closely with companies providing general management, finance and operational assistance.
His prior experience includes the corporate finance departments of two regional investment banking firms, The Chicago Corporation and Kemper Securities, Inc. As a banker, Chris focused on technology-related transactions including public offerings, mergers and acquisitions and financial advisory. Prior to becoming a banker, he worked in the merger and acquisition group of KPMG Peat Marwick where he coordinated business valuations and divestiture engagements.
Chris currently serves on the boards of Advantage Optics, IO Data Centers, Sportvision and TopSchool. Chris also serves on Governor Quinn’s Illinois Innovation Council as well as several other regional technology advisory boards. Chris graduated with a B.S. in applied mathematics-economics from Brown University and earned his M.B.A. in finance and accounting from Columbia Business School. Chris is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and is currently serving as Co-President of his alumni class at Brown.
Mike Dodd is a general partner at Silverton Partners focusing on investing in early stage software and web-enabled business and consumer services. From 2008 to 2016 Mike was a partner at Austin Ventures focusing on early and expansion-stage software and consumer applications. Notable investments included Spredfast (acquired by Vista Equity), MapMyFitness (acquired by Under Armour), Billie (acquired by P&G), Graduation Alliance (acquired by KKR), Kazoo (acquired by Vista Equity), Public Engines (acquired by Motorola), Ontic and Apprentice.io.
Prior to AV, Mike was SVP of Corporate Development with Omniture, Inc., a publicly-traded web analytics software company that was acquired by Adobe for $1.8 billion. During his tenure, which began prior to Omniture’s IPO, Mike led the identification, acquisition, and integration efforts around Omniture’s acquisition of two domestic and two international companies that totaled approximately $500 million in consideration. Prior to Omniture, Mike was Senior Vice President and General Manager at Ancestry.com, a consumer online content subscription business. He was also a Partner with Europatweb, a venture capital firm where he worked with companies such as Liquidity Services Inc. NASDAQ:LQDT and Ancestry.com, and a technology investment banker with Robertson Stephens in San Francisco.
Mike received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in finance from Syracuse University.
Nikhil Sachdev joined Insight in 2020 and focuses on high-growth software companies. Nikhil helps lead new venture and growth-stage investments, and also has experience with leveraged buyouts.
Prior to joining Insight, Nikhil was a Partner at Altimeter Capital, a long/short equity hedge fund that invests in public and private companies in the software and Internet sectors. At Altimeter, Nikhil sourced, led, and executed investments in multiple high growth private companies across the Software-as-a-Service, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, Internet marketplace, gaming, and social media categories.
Previously, Nikhil worked in private equity at Bain Capital Partners and Providence Equity. Before moving into investing, Nikhil was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs focused on technology clients.
Nikhil holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA Honors from Stanford University.
Nikhil’s personal interests include being active outdoors (running, hiking, snowboarding, biking, golf), reading novels, and exploring cities with great food.
