KamCity 15th September 2022 Organic food producer Ecotone has announced the launch of Alter Eco chocolate in the UK to appeal to younger shoppers seeking ethical and sustainable chocolate. The company noted that a key point of difference from many other brands in the category is that the Alter Eco range is fully organic, non-GMO, and Fairtrade certified. Rolling into health food stores from September, the range of 100g tablet bars (RRP £2.99) comes in five varieties – Dark Chocolate (85% Peru), Dark Chocolate with Almonds, Milk Chocolate Salted Caramel, Plain Chocolate, and Dark Chocolate (70% Ecuador). Bryan Martins, Marketing and Category Director at Ecotone UK, said: “There’s no doubt that UK shoppers are focused on ethical products and empowered to make a difference with their purchases – this is particularly prevalent in the Chocolate sector. Alter Eco is perfectly positioned to deliver delicious taste with the organic and Fairtrade credentials consumers are looking for, from bean to bar. “The brand has a unique story to tell.
