The project scope includes construction of equipment foundations; purchase and erection of structural steel; and purchase and installation of biomass receiving, handling and pretreatment, biocatalysts production, hydrolysis, fermentation and products recovery equipment. The plant will have the capacity to produce 60,000 tons of cellulosic ethanol per year using forest thinning materials and agricultural residues as feedstock. Axens will provide process technology.
