Mantis Vision buys US co Alces Technology The Petah Tikva based company, which offers advanced 3D content capture and sharing technologies, has acquired the Utah based depth sensing startup. Israeli 3D mobile sensing developer Mantis Vision today announced that it has completed the acquisition of US company Alces Technology Inc. No financial details were disclosed although sources suggested the acquisition was for about $10 million. Earlier this month Petah Tikva based Mantis Vision raised $55 million and the company has raised $84 million to date. Based in Utah, Alces is a depth sensing startup with patented high-resolution structured light depth capture technology.
