Willkie, Farr and Gallagher LLP served as M&A and financing legal counsel to ATRG and its Board of Directors. BKD served as tax advisors to ATRG. JP Morgan Chase and Gladstone Capital provided acquisition financing. American Trailer Rental Group LLC, a portfolio company of Milton Street Capital LLC, executed the acquisition of Advantage Trailer Leasing. Milton Street Capital is a Houston-based private equity firm that primarily focuses on acquisitions of lower middle market industrial companies. American Trailer Rental Group (ATRG) is a family of companies with a rental fleet approaching 10,000 units representing regional trailer rental providers including Meisler Trailer Rental (Meisler), Fleet Trailer Rental (Fleet) and First in Trailer Service (FITS) brands with operations in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Ohio and Kansas. Advantage Trailer is semi-trailer and storage container rental business formed in 1985 that operates out of five locations in Texas: Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Longview. Advantage Trailer represents the fourth add-on acquisition for American Trailer Rental Group since it was formed in 2017. With the acquisition of Advantage Trailer, American Trailer Rental Group now has nearly 13,000 units and operates out of 10 different rental locations. The Willkie deal team included partners Scott Miller (Picture), Ryan Cicero, Mark Holdsworth and Robert Jacobson.
