OAK CREEK, Wis., April 27, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Recently, Ad-Tech was approached by Dr. Luke Tomcyz for our help with a critical humanitarian initiative with the Co-Pilot Project of Razom for Ukraine , a non-profit organization serving the people of Ukraine. Dr. Tomcyz, whose Ukraininan grandparents were World War II refugees, has joined forces with Maryina Soroka to lead a mission to Ukraine to treat patients suffering from intractable epilepsy. Dr. Tomcyz, a neurosurgeon specializing in pediatric neurosurgery with a special interest in epilepsy, works at the Epilepsy Institute of New Jersey and is affiliated with numerous hospitals in the area. In his response to the Ad-Tech donation, Dr. Tomcyz said, "You are amazing. Ad Tech Medical Supports Surgeon's Mission to Ukraine

ArchiMed has refinanced Wisconsin-based Ad-Tech Medical Instrument Corporation, a maker of minimally invasive brain electrodes.

Racine’s Ad-Tech Medical Instrument Corp. plans to build a headquarters and plant with up to 90 workers in the OakView Business Park in Oak Creek. The company bought almost 4.8 acres in the business park on July 14, according to Kevin Barry and David Buckley , of DTZ Barry, who are marketing the business park. Ad-Tech Medical’s roughly 30,000-square-foot facility would be the second in the Oak Creek business park after Stella & Chewy’s opened a new headquarters there this year. Ad-Tech Medical, founded in 1983, develops and manufactures medical devices, including electrodes that are implanted into people’s brains for monitoring. It currently is based in Racine. Its high-tech manufacturing operation will include a clean room and high-end temperature and humidity controls, according to an application to the city of Oak Creek. Construction could begin in late August or September and would take 11 months to complete. Officials from Ad-Tech Medical were not immediately available for comment. The project will be reviewed by the Oak Creek Plan Commission on Aug. 11, said city planner Kari Papelbon . OakView Business Park is developed by Wispark LLC in partnership with the city of Oak Creek at Howell Avenue and Oakwood Road. It has pending deals with other manufacturers for more than 25 additional acres, said Buckley, senior vice president of DTZ Barry in Milwaukee. “It’s been incredible the amount of activity we’ve seen,” Buckley said. “Every one of them is existing companies and relocations either because they’ve run out of space where they are or they want a more efficient facility.”
The Ad-Tech Medical sale and other pending deals mean there are about 117 acres available in the 166-acre OakView Business Park, said Barry, executive vice president. The per-acre prices in the business park will go up on Aug. 15, Buckley said. Currently, the lowest price is $96,000 per acre, but that will increase to $105,000, he said.
