Software Engineer
We're working on predicting the health of companies and investors by algorithmically mining and analyzing the digital footprints they leave on the web. If you can help us identify, parse and classify this information, we'd love to hear from you.
Education, experience and skills required:
- Fluent in Perl, Python and/or Java as well as database programming/administration (e.g. MySQL)
- Extensive experience with regular expressions and web crawling technologies
- Experience programming in a Linux/Unix environment
- Understanding of system performance analysis and optimization
- Strong problem solving capabilities, detailed oriented, self-starter, passion for web information
- Bachelor's degree or more in Computer Science or related fields
- Pluses: familiarity with front-end programming technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript), scripting languages (PHP) and indexing technologies (Lucene)
